Warranty & Return Policy
The warranty period begins when the original owner purchases the unit from either JD NORTH AMERICA directly or from an Authorized dealer. Our units are covered by two types of warranty; Commercial and Residential. A residential warranty includes a 1-2 year/ 250-500 hours manufacturer warranty whichever comes first. A commercial warranty includes a 90-day limited parts and labor manufacturer warranty. Warranty varies by model and can be found in the owner’s manual. For All Units:
The warranty period beings when a consumer/ vendor, that
owns our product, contacts us due to their unit not working properly. At that time,
we will then request a proof of purchase (receipt) and it’s use (Commercial or
Residential), to verify if the unit falls under the warranty guidelines. The
Consumer/Vendor must report defects within its warranty period. Warranty starts
from the date of purchase. No exceptions.
A purchase receipt must show where the unit was purchased,
the date it was purchased, the item purchased, and the amount paid.
Merchandise that had become damaged or inoperative because
of ordinary wear, misuse, cold, heat, rain, excessive humidity, freeze damage,
use of improper chemicals, negligence, accident, failure to operate the product
in accordance with the instructions provided in the Owner’s Manual(s) supplied
with the product, improper maintenance, the use of accessories or attachments
not recommended by JD North America, or an unauthorized repair or alterations
will void all warranty.
What Is Not Covered:
Transportation
charges to any service center, for defective products will not be covered. The
following parts are considered wear items and do not fall under warranty: carburetor,
air filter, spark plug, brushes, fuses, rubber feet, other maintenance issues and
receptacles. Damages caused by abuse, accident, improper repair, or failure to
perform normal maintenance. Power units or engines which are covered
exclusively by the warranties of their manufacturer. Sales outside of the
United States or Canada. Any other expense including consequential damages,
incidental damages, or incidental expenses, including damage to property. Some
states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential
damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
Refund & Return Policy:
JD North
America provides you rock-bottom prices, quality products, and timely delivery.
We pass on any savings we have directly to you, our customer. With that in
mind: Returns must be requested within 14 days of receiving the product, no
exceptions. Products returned must be in new and resalable condition. They will
be inspected upon receipt. Shipping charges are non-refundable. This includes
shipping to customer and back to our warehouse. Items with "free
shipping" will be assessed standard shipping charges. A 20% restocking fee
will be applied.
Damaged Shipment Policy:
All products
are shipped 100% insured. You will not be responsible for any fees on products
that are damaged during shipping. If there is any visible damage from the
outside of the box, PLEASE INDICATE SO WHEN SIGNING for the package.
Cancellation Policy:
Before It Ships
We
understand that things change. You're welcome to cancel your order at any time
BEFORE IT SHIPS without penalty. Cancellation notices must be received 24 hours
before product is shipped.
If you want
to cancel your order after it has shipped, you will be charged a cancellation
fee to cover the "to" and "from" shipping costs.
